About this tool
Compress Image uses your browser’s image encoder. EXIF orientation is respected when decoding. Metadata beyond what the browser preserves may be dropped during re-encoding. If the output is larger than the input, that is shown clearly instead of as a fake savings percentage.

- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Compression runs entirely in your browser using canvas APIs. Files are not uploaded.
- Why didn’t my PNG get smaller?
- Browser PNG encoding does not offer a JPEG-style quality slider. Re-encoding a PNG may not reduce size, and can sometimes increase it. Docomium shows that result honestly.
- Which formats are supported?
- JPEG, PNG, and WebP where your browser can encode them.
